Golioth partners with NXP Semiconductors to bring next-generation device-management features to NXP’s excellent line of Ethernet-enabled microcontrollers.

Developing Internet of Things (IoT) devices around industrial-grade microcontrollers has never been easier. NXP’s i.MX RT106x line delivers an incredible feature set and rock-solid connectivity. Golioth adds a secure-by-default device-management platform that’s built to scale. This solves the hardware engineer’s dilemma of not only establishing an internet connection, but managing how to securely and efficiently move data between the device and cloud, and how to work with large fleets before, during and after deployment.

The NXP i.MX RT1062 EVKB board has been added to Golioth’s line of Continuously Verified Boards (CVB). This is the highest level of hardware support we offer. When you build your IoT devices around NXP parts, they will always include the latest and greatest features, fully tested by Golioth engineers. Easily roll-out Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates, remotely adjust device settings, collect logging messages, and management the data streaming back from hundreds or hundreds-of-millions of your sensors in the field.

Software

Our first class support for NXP components is built upon the NXP Zephyr integration. Though we are specifically targeting the NXP i.MX RT1060-EVKB development board, many NXP parts exist “in-tree” using Zephyr and all of the capabilities of Golioth can be ported to those components as well.
